Georgia Freebody’s acrylic paintings range from figurative to abstract and are evocative of interacting with the natural world. Her paintings reflect aesthetic moments when we notice tiny changes in the light and movement or alternately when light and movement are caught in the development of a memory describing those aesthetic moments.
Georgia is a local Artist and teacher. She is also studying her Masters or Art Therapy at Western Sydney University.
Georgia believes that engaging with and creating artwork is inherently restorative and reflective of the ways we engage with our world. Continuing to investigate and recognise the beauty in natural spaces is integral to understanding the way choices effect our environment. To notice, love and connect with our world helps us understand our place in it.
